All vehicles are operated under the Section 10B Small Bus Permit. This means that:
It is important to realise that the demand for using the minibuses in the CART fleet often exceeds the available supply. Therefore, CART cannot guarantee that a member will be able to make all the bookings they would like. It is therefore very important that groups give CART as much notice as possible in order to secure your booking. Who Will Benefit
CART currently has six vehicles: 2 x 16 seater Ford Ivecos 1 x 16 seater Mercedes Sprinters 1 x 16 seater Volkswagen 1 x 14 seater Ford Transit 1 x 9 seater Volkswagen Transporter All of our vehicles are equipped with wheelchair clamps and wheelchair harnesses. The maximum number of seats is reduced when carrying passengers in wheelchairs. All vehicles are also equipped with fire extinguishers and First Aid kits. Prices CART is a non-profit making organisation, therefore our prices are subsidised. Currently, there are two ways to hire our buses: With Driver We will provide our own trained and qualified staff for your trip.
Please note that we are currently sourcing funding for the Urban areas. Prices will be reduced if and when this is secured.
Self Drive Technically, because all hires take place under the Section 10B Small Bus Permit, every hire is considered to be the supply of transport with driver, however, for the sake of clarity, when the hirer nominated a driver from CART's register of approved drivers, this is referred to as Self Drive Minibus Hire. All drivers on our register have to be MiDAS trained.
Social Car Scheme This service is available Monday to Friday and for specific activities such as hospital appointments, hospital visits, job interviews, attending training courses etc.
